2025-26 Fellowship Recipients
Daniel Cardenas
Dan is a senior at Stanford University from Westminster, Colorado, where he competes on the wrestling team. He joined Beyond the Podium because he remembers what it feels like for a young athlete to walk into a room and finally feel seen. Dan hopes every kid the organization reaches knows they belong, are wanted, and are part of a community that truly values them.
Hunter Garvin
Hunter is a senior at Stanford University and a member of the wrestling team. He gives back through Beyond the Podium because he remembers being a young athlete who looked up to college wrestlers willing to share their time and advice. Now on the other side of that experience, Hunter feels honored and blessed to invest in the next generation, hoping to make a positive impact and bring smiles to young faces through the sport he loves.
Grigor Cholakyan
Grigor is a sophomore at Stanford University, originally from Burbank, California, and competes for the Cardinal wrestling team. Wrestling has given him discipline, resilience, and a strong sense of community, and through Beyond the Podium, he aims to give that back. Grigor believes deeply in the power of sport to build character and wants to serve as a resource for young wrestlers striving toward something greater than just victory on the mat.
Collin Guffey
Collin is a sophomore from Alpine, California, and wrestles for Stanford University. He joined Beyond the Podium because he loves wrestling and finds joy in teaching the sport to a younger generation. Collin feels blessed by the Lord in many ways and sees this as his opportunity to help others, living out the message of Matthew 5:15–16.

Tyler Knox
Tyler is a Junior at Stanford University from Massachusetts. He gives back to the community through Beyond The Podium because he knows how much influence current college athletes can have on the younger generation and wishes he had more opportunities to interact with college athletes when he was younger. He feels privileged and grateful he is able to use Beyond the Podium as a vehicle to interact and impact the younger generation.
Edwin Sierra
Edwin is a freshman at Stanford University, originally from Poway, California, on the Stanford Cardinal wrestling team. He joined Beyond the Podium to share his love for the sport and to ensure every young athlete feels seen and valued. Grateful for the mentorship that shaped his own path, Edwin is dedicated to giving back, hoping to serve as a resource and inspiration for the next generation of wrestlers both on and off the mat.
EJ Parco
EJ is a sophomore at Stanford University and competes for the Cardinal wrestling team. Originally from the Bay Area, EJ joined Beyond the Podium because he grew up in this community and feels a deep appreciation for the sport and its people. He wants to help the younger generation improve their skills and build confidence, serving as a mentor who provides guidance and insight both on and off the mat.
Nico Provo
Nico is a Senior at Stanford University originally from Stratford, Connecticut. Nico joined Beyond The Podium because he enjoys giving back to a sport that’s given him so much in life. He is grateful to be apart of a special group that provides resources to those in less fortunate positions. He values time with young athletes who have goals similar to his. Beyond the Podium is a vehicle that enables him to prioritize giving back to the community.
Tye Monteiro
Tye is a junior at Stanford University from Paso Robles, California, is a member of the wrestling team. He joined Beyond the Podium to help grow the sport in the Bay Area, a region he feels has been underserved when it comes to wrestling. Tye wants to ensure young wrestlers here have the same opportunities to develop and compete at a high level as athletes from more established wrestling communities.
Angelo Posada
Angelo is a freshman at Stanford University from Poway, California, competes on the wrestling team at 197 pounds. Angelo joined Beyond the Podium to share his love for wrestling and expand access to quality training. He believes in giving back to ensure that opportunities in the sport reach those who may not otherwise have them.

Lorenzo Norman
Lorenzo is a Junior at Stanford University. Originally from New Jersey, Lorenzo joined Beyond the Podium to help grow the presence of wrestling in the Bay Area, as well as impart life lessons he’s learned through the sport to the next generation of athletes.
